The international exchange services assume responsibilities regarding international corporation and exchanges, foreign experts invitation, and academic members and students exchange programs. Our main programs for incoming students are as the followings: I) Visiting research scholars: The TMU is proud to welcome students from all over the world. Our exchange students are able to gain rich cultural experiences by working alongside the local and international graduate students on M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs. Academic members and students come to the TMU based on exchange programs of our international partner universities, or they are fee-paying persons from an overseas university. The applicants may send their application to the ISCO, or contact directly with the related department. The ISCO provides required facilities for visa and accommodation. Furthermore, the applicants may work closely with other students in a friendly environment. For students who would like to live on campus in the TMU Dormitories, the following rental rates may be applied for 2015-2016 academic year:
II) IAESTE: The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE) is an independent, non-profit and non-political student exchange organization. The TMU is a welcoming and supportive place to come to as an IAESTE or international exchange student, and we seek to provide a favorable experience for all coming students. The main requirements to participate in the IAESTE program are:
III) Postdoctoral course: A postdoctoral fellow is a person conducting research after the completion of his/her Ph.D. program as part of a temporary appointment of maximum two years. It is intended to further deepen expertise in a specialist subject, including integrating a team and acquiring novel skills and research methods, for example. A postdoctoral fellow usually acts under the supervision of a principal faculty member. The following requirements are essential for postdoctoral applicants:
In addition, our main programs for outgoing students are as given below: I) Visiting research scholar: At the TMU, we encourage our students to take appropriate opportunities which assist them to get valuable experiences as international students, and actively engage with other numerous partner universities and organizations. An exchange student program with our partner universities provides suitable facilities for our students to leave their home university (i.e., the TMU) to study at a host university (i.e., a partner university). On the other side, the Ph.D. students of TMU who would like to spend a semester abroad, at international universities those are not in partnership with the TMU, they have the alternative option of spending a semester over there as a visiting student. In this case, the ISCO provides facilities for obtaining visa for visiting students. In addition, the research office of the TMU provides some facilities for payment of tuition according to financial support rules of the TMU. II) IAESTE: Using this program, the TMU students are selected for traineeship and work in industry as well as research fields at a variety of universities. The TMU?s applicants should have 22?30 years old, and be able to communicate and work in English, and studying in Engineering, Basic Sciences, or Applied Arts majors. |
