Manufacturing Engineering

The role of manufacturing engineering in society is to create the capability for producing goods and offering engineering solutions that enhance the quality of life. The missions of the manufacturing engineering group include providing easier and more economical access to higher quality products, improving sales and usability, generating wealth, and increasing security and safety in society. The manufacturing engineering group is one of the active educational groups within the Department of Mechanical Engineering. It began its work in 1369 with four faculty members and accepting students for masters degrees. With the expansion of the group and increased capacity, it started accepting students for specialized doctoral degrees from 1373. With the transformation of the mechanical engineering department into the School of Mechanical Engineering in 1392, this group became one of the subgroups of the School of Mechanical Engineering. So far, three knowledge-based companies have been established by the faculty members of the group. The educational and research programs of the manufacturing engineering group aim to develop research projects and courses based on the research needs and missions of the university to address the industrial issues of our dear country.
