Hamid Saeedi received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 1999 and 2001, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from Carleton University, Ottawa, ON, Canada, in 2007, all in electrical engineering. In 2008-2009, he was a postdoctoral fellow with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA, USA. In 2010, he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran, where he is now an Assistant Professor. His current research interests include coding and information theory, wireless communications, and resource allocation in conventional, heterogeneous and cognitive radio networks.

 

Dr. Saeedi is currently an editor for IEEE Communications Letters. He has been a technical program committee member of some international conferences. This includes Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC) Fall 2012, Wireless Communication and Networking Conference (WCNC) 2014, 2015, 2016 and International Conference on Communications (ICC) 2015, 2018. Dr. Saeedi is the recipient of some awards including Carleton University Senate Medal for Outstanding Academic Achievement, a Natural Sciences and Engineering Council of Canada (NSERC) Industrial Research and Development Fellowship, and an Ontario Graduate Scholarship.
