I received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from AmirKabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 1989, the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from Tehran University, Tehran, in 1992, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, specializing in power electronics, from the University of Calgary, Calgary, AB, Canada, in 1997.
From 1997 to 2000, I was a Software Engineer with OPISystems Inc., Calgary, AB, Canada, designing real-time microprocessor programs for industrial control and remote data acquisition systems.
In 2000, I joined the IROST, Tehran, Iran, where I worked on design and implementation of electric drives.
Since 2005, I have been with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran, as an Assistant Professor.
My current research interests include modeling, analysis, design, and control of power electronic converters/systems and motor drives and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and also embedded software development for automation, motion control, and condition monitoring of industrial systems with microcontrollers and DSPs.
