Introduction

The doctoral course in the field of environmental science and engineering is the highest level of university education in this field, where learning the current topics of this field is done in most of 18 units. Also, during this period, research is done in order to solve the current problems of the country under the title of doctoral dissertation worth 18 units. Among the state universities of the country, this course was launched for the first time in the Faculty of Natural Resources of Tarbiat Modares University in 2016 and in that year, it started accepting students through a semi-focused exam. Graduates of the doctoral course in environmental sciences and engineering are able to work in general environmental departments, natural resources departments, environmental laboratories, as well as HSE units of companies, departments, and oil and petrochemical industries. Also, many graduates of this group are currently working as academic staff and researchers in universities and research centers inside and outside the country.

Environment (1-environmental pollution, 2-land evaluation and preparation, 3- biodiversity management and protection)
Introduction

This course is organized with three majors: environmental pollution, land evaluation and preparation, and biodiversity management and protection, with a total of 32 course units (10 specialized units, 16 specialized units, 6 thesis units). In the direction of pollution, the study, identification and analysis of environmental pollutants, their origin, the use of the latest methods of removing and reducing the effects of environmental pollutants are discussed. In the Biodiversity group, the investigation and protection of endangered and endemic species, and in the field of land management, using remote sensing software and methods, environmental management and assessment is done.

Graduates of these trends can work in the fields of wastewater treatment, waste management, environmental impact assessment, HSE in industrial units and employment in government centers such as environmental departments, natural resources, municipalities, etc.
