At TMU, the Energy Initiative strives towards innovation in the cross-disciplinary fields of renewable energy and sustainability. Currently, our programs include SOLAR ENERGY, Green Electrochemical Energy Storage (GEES) , Bio fuel (BF) as well as 2 years MSc program focused around the important issues of renewable energy in todays society.

VISION

A national and universal culture of excellence and competition drives scientific discoveries and innovative technology in renewable energy, and integrates into society through a diverse, but balanced, energy portfolio. Individuals make educated decisions on renewable energy at the personal and civic levels.

MISSION

To inspire and cultivate the minds of future decision makers to pursue renewable energy research and innovation through four directions

Develop educational opportunities based on authoritative information, critical thinking, and the cross-disciplinary nature of renewable energy
Enhance the TMU urban educational mission, strengthen its renewable energy program, and engage faculties and students to solve real national and world renewable energy problems.
Encourage public and private sector energy communities to identify, strategize, and achieve renewable energy-related goals.
Follow up coordinated funding energy initiatives based on peer and institutional research networks
