·         Founder and Director of  Department of Medical Genetics at Tarbiat Modares University for training students at Ph.D level (2002-2008)

·         Founder and Director of Genetic infertility department, PGD (Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis) and cytogenetic labs at Royan infertility Institute (1994-2004).

 

·         Cytogenetic supervisor at Cytogenetic lab of Blood Transfusion Organization (1994-1996)

Technical and Research Experience

 

·       Karyotypic characterization of various immortalized cell lines and primary cells.

·       Determination of cell cycle stages using autoradiography

·       Study of cytogenetic response of various cell lines to restriction enzymes.

·       Biological dosimetry of individuals following low doses of X-and gamma rays using cytogenetic end points.

·       Cytogenetic study of leukemia patients following radiation and chemotherapy.

·       Study of clastogenic effects of physical and chemical agents using various cytogenetic end points (Metaphase analysis, Micronuclei assay, Premature chromosome condensation, Sister Chromatid Exchanges, comet assay) in vitro and in vivo.

·       Cytogenetic study of failed fertilized human oocytes and early 2-8 cells embryos following IVF and  ICSI.

·       Cytogenetic study of human sperm in fertile and infertile individuals.

·       Cytogenetic study of  Fanconi Anemia patients in Iran (Using various techniques, metaphase analysis using MMC, DNA damage and repair using alkaline comet and comet FISH assay.

·       Karyotype of more than 200 infertile couples and more than 200 individuals for different Reasons.

·       PGD (Preimplantation diagnosis of blastomeres using interphase FISH).

·       Using molecular cytogenetics techniques (FISH and PRINS) for study of chromosomal abnormalities at chromosomal levels and interphase cells

·       Using comet assay to assess DNA damage, repair and apoptosis in human cells.

·       Use of PCR based techniques, PCR, Multiplex PCR, Real time PCR  and PRINS for study of de novo and induced micro deletions in human sperm.

·       Study of Breast, prostate and esophageal cancer patients using various cytogenetics and molecular techniques.
