TMU students shine in the 8th International Moot Court Competition


At the end of the 1st round of National Competition on International criminal Court Simulation held in memory of Henry Dunant in August in Tehran, a team of three TMU students from Faculty of Law managed to win first place.



12 different teams consisting of three participants from different universities including TMU, Alame Tabatabaee, Mofid-e-Qom, Foreign Ministry's International Affairs Faculty, Mazandaran, Shaheed Beheshti, Tehran, Azad Central Branch, and two teams consisting of different universities took part in the first round of the 8th Moot Court competition, this completion was supported by international Red Cross. At the end of the competition, four teams from TMU, Shaheed Beheshti, Alame and Foreign Ministry's faculty managed to enter the semi-final stage.  



 It needs to be said that in this completion, participants take part in simulated court proceedings and the team members once speak as the defendant's attorney and once as the attorney general. They have to provide their arguments against a jury who are selected from prominent national judges. The participants are evaluated on their legal knowledge, presentation manner, innovative methods and English language proficiency
