Because of the rapidly changing, increasingly interdependent world and global marketplace, Tarbiat Modares University strives to maximize educational opportunities aimed at instructing individuals capable of functioning as internationally competent persons. The Office of International Affairs provides a myriad of far-reaching services for TMU and the multiple and diverse communities served by the university. At Tarbiat Modares University, we collaborate every day with colleagues at universities around the world - working on joint research projects, reviewing academic papers, organizing conferences and delivering seminar papers. Our view is that collaborations work best bottom-up, driven by the shared interests of academics and in the service of great teaching and research. We have affiliations with many universities around the world. This office operates directly in conjunction with the Office of the President, acting as executor for the direction of all affairs related to International Scientific Cooperation. In recognition of the importance of international discourse, OISC is responsible for matters and events relating to the academic and cultural interests of the university. These activities involve establishing and maintaining of mutually beneficial cooperative relations with similar institutions of higher learning abroad, including academic and scientific establishments and the organization of projects related to the advancement of international scientific collaboration.
