Tarbiat Modares University promotes and develops various types of international exchange, such as the invitation of foreign students, visiting researchers and lecturers.
Meanwhile, Tarbiat Modares University sends academic staff members and Ph.D. students abroad every year to promote their research and strengthen links of cooperation.

International Exchange Committee

The Committee was established to deliberate on international exchange programs among universities and research centers. The chairman of the committee is the chancellor of the university.

The other members are:
• Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs
• Vice-Chancellor for Research Affairs
• Director of the international affairs
• Two academic staff members of the university

Foreign Students

Tarbiat Modares University offers courses of Master’s and Ph.D. degrees to foreign students. The requirements for participation in each degree include course work for the prescribed period of time and the submission of a thesis or dissertation. Students of both degree levels must pass course examinations before their thesis or dissertation.
