Information Department
Collecting and delivering of database services in different fields of science and technology as well as establishing direct online and/or offline connection with the desired databases are among the main responsibilities of this department.
At present there is direct and online access to more than 16 important databases including Science Direct. In addition, the Central Library, equipped with a very high speed (2mbs) special telecommunication line (Leased) and 40 work stations and also using the internet line, enjoys the best and strongest accessible electronic information sources throughout the country.
It must be noted that the equipments and computer possibilities of this department are the best among the universities of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Extraordinary activities that are performed periodically during the year in this section include:
Training classes using online databases available for faculty and students formed a group class.
Information literacy training classes include advanced topics in professional and scientific capabilities to receive transmit and store information in digital environments and Computer Science.
Holding the educational tour of familiar with laws and regulations of library services and information for new students admitted in the first week of educational year.
Holding conferences and scientific meetings on the scientific information databases from companies and their agents in Iran.
