Academic Curriculums

    The Academic Curriculums at TMU are based on the unit system.  Two semesters are offered per year.  The first semester begins on the first of Mehr (September 23), and the ends in the middle of the month of Bahman (the end of January).  The second semester begins in the middle of Bahman (the beginning of February), and ends in the middle of the month of Tir (July 6). 

    The length of time required for study at the graduate level is as follows:

Master’s Degree:  The length of time required at this level is two years, during which time 32 units must be passed.  Four to eight of these units are towards the thesis.

Doctorate Degree:  Four years are required to finish the work for the Doctorate Degree.  This involves 36 units.  12 to 18 of the units are class work, and the other 18 to 24 units are work towards their dissertation.
