Director of Faculty Affairs
The duties of the Faculty Affairs Office are as follows:
- Managing the advancement of Faculty Members.
- Managing the continual assessment of teaching quality of Faculty Members.
- Planning and managing the selection of Distinguished Professors.
- Managing the advance of Faculty Members (from gathering information to approval by the Committee for Advancement to Emeritus status).
- Supervising and controlling the contracts of Faculty Members.
- Planning and carrying out the celebration for Teacher’s Day.
- Preparing and organizing reports of teaching quality, yearly promotions, advancement in teaching status, Distinguished Professors, teaching fees, and … for presentation to the University’s Board of Superintendants and other related units.
- Organizing yearly meetings of the Committee for Promotions, the Committee for Advancement to Emeritus status, and other meetings.
- Evaluating and rewriting regulations and instructions related to Faculty Members and presenting suggestions for needed changes.
- Establishing mechanized systems for Faculty Member’s Affairs (Advancement, Promotion, Evaluation, Salary, and …)
- Helping to compile a Home Page for the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs (The Office of Faculty Affairs) and collecting information.
- Carrying out other affairs related to the Faculty Members (Delegated by the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs and the University Chancellor).
