The French teaching department at Tarbiat modares University is doing big steps in developing language teaching in Iran by considering all the scientific criteria of language sciences at an international level. This group considers as its most important aims to reach at the scientific interaction, to have an applied approach at language teaching problems, to create scientific methods to improve language teaching, to expose analytic points of view regarding the language products and uses, to give more importance to methodology and evaluation of the language teaching problems and share to make scientific the teaching methods and to analyze literary, artistic and cultural discourses.
