International Relations


 

Department of International Relations was established in 2006 but started its formal activities two years later by admitting M.A students in International Relations. Currently, the department offers M.A. and Ph.D. programs in International Relations. The Department has four full-time faculty members and four emeritus professors.
The department provides interdisciplinary training courses, and the faculty members carry out research programs on various issues within the interests of the department including International Political Economics, the Middle East Studies, the Central Eurasian Studies, Russian Studies, Foreign Policy of Iran, Foreign Policy of USA, International Security Studies, Hydro Politics and Water Policy, Global Governance and Newly Emerging Challenges in IR, and the East Asian Studies.
The department?s major aim is to help students improve analytical skills and research abilities in International Relations issues. Many of the graduates have succeeded in achieving outstanding careers in public service in both domestic and international Institutions as well as careers in private organizations.
