Each country for economic growth and development requires to create capital for financing and basic infrastructure. Countries that do'nt have sufficient capital to develop internally are trying to attract foreign capital and transfer funds and resources to establish economic enterprises with higher returns than other countries.. In order to achieve this, governments enter a competitive game and try to attract these funds with their policies. One of the most important of these policies is determining the optimal taxation on foreign direct investments. In this study, determine the optimal taxation on foreign direct investments in a small open economy for Iran and selected countries by expanding the Ramsey model and using a dynamic optimizatio
Maritain, a twentieth century Neo-Thomist philosopher, who criticizes modern philosophy and believes in returning to Thomas's views on all philosophical subjects, introduces the pillars of human knowledge as object (the mental form), external thing, and subject (the knower). He criticizes the views of some modern philosophers on knowledge, arguing that the knowledge of the self cannot be the basis for other human sciences, as Descartes puts it, or, as some existentialists believe, it is the main subject of philosophy. Maritain said this knowledge which is called "subjectivity", is later than other sciences due to its understanding as to the subject of other objects, and it is not basically through the object; In the sense that man, after kn
Foreign investment is the function of globalization in the economies. There are so important factors for absorbing it . Cheap and skilled labor, the degree of openness of the economy and policies, activities and actions that attract this type of capitals are most important factors. To achieve this goal, governments enter a competitive game and try to attract these investments with their policies. In this study, first using a dynamic optimization control model and developing a Ramsey model to determine the optimal taxation on foreign direct investment in a small open economy for Iran and selected countries and then investigate the effective factors on Foreign direct investment with emphasis on the role of taxes through spatial econometric me
The theory of the first ruler of the Virtuous City is one of the most important subjects of al-Farabi's social science. The relationship between this theory and his philosophical foundations is the main focus of the present article. It is concluded that this theory and its concomitant necessity of the presence of first ruler and his characteristics and responsibilities is based on six tenets in al-Farabi's philosophical system, including human social innate disposition, theory of individual souls, the concept of happiness, the status of active intellect, volition and religion (prophecy) in man's happiness. The interconnection between the theory of the first ruler and al-Farabi's philosophical principles indicates its internal coherence and
Philosophical anthropology is one of the main issues in Ibn Sina's philosophy. Defining the concept of the soul, Ibn Sina states his ideas about human perfection. Thus, questions raised what is the ultimate perfection of a rational soul and what are the sensible criticisms of it? Would Ibn Sina's philosophy answer the questions of modern man on the related issues? Ibn Sina is of the opinion that human perfection is a kind of intellectual perfection achieved through reaching al-ʿ aql al-mustafā d (acquired intellect). Therefore, perfection is achieved in the light of theoretical intellect and practical intellect preliminary paves the way to reach perfection. Ibn Sina's view on perfection flows in the body of Islamic philosophy until the ad
The most important of the philosophy of Ibn-e-Sina is self-knowledge and below, he addresses the question of the perfection of the human soul and mentions his detailed thesis. According to Ibn-Sina, the perfection of the human soul is rational perfection, and it is achieved through the development of theoretical intellect and the attainment of the stage of the wisdom. Inventory is inherently rational and is achieved through the association with the divine and divine so-called active intellect from the rank of gonadal intellect and potential to the actual and actual degree of reason. In other words, the evolution of the soul is in the area of theoretical reason, and practical reason is only an aspect of the introduction. Ibn-e-Sinai's view w
Interdisciplinary studies and the increased level of interaction among various disciplines of humanities have found a special status in the recent studies. The “reasons for the tendency to atheism” is also a topic that can be studied from different psychological, sociological, and theological stances. The article at hand shows how and why the non-philosophical causes such as emotional, mental, and educational damages along with cultural and intellectual conditions of society–which are usually led by its open-minded class–affect the tendency toward atheism. In other words, this article aims at disclosing the degree to which the intervention of non-philosophical factors can affect the adoption of atheistic worldviews. Using the theory
The aim of this article is to examine the concepts of phronesis (practical wisdom) and faith will in situations and ethical dilemmas that teachers face in teaching. The method of research is deductive one. First, it considers the conception of phronesis (practical wisdom) based on David Carr’s view to explore how teachers enable to gain effective moral judgments in process of teaching. Next, considering his ideas, it can be emerged some implication for moral judgments of teaching by Allama Tabatabaie’s faith will. Aaccording to Carr, the Aristotelian idea of phronesis that is considered the ordering of desires, feelings and appetites in situations of teaching is associated with the development of character. It is also argued that profes
sometimes, imagination of philosophy issue is more important and more difficult than its judgment, and principality of existence issue is from these issues. in this article, we have surveyed to some of imagination meanings of this issue.also we have surveyed to two explanation of disputable point; and we have surveyed with reasons of principality of existence to some of imagination meanings. explanation of disputable point, which is an important issue in this field, is not mentioned in Mullah Sadra's books. But people like Sabzevari, Tabatabai and others have paid it. In the meantime, modares Zunuzi has written a comprehensive and precise explanation of disputable point on the issue. Some have criticized this and we have responded to them.
The theory of the first ruler of the Virtuous City is one of the most important subjects of al-Farabi's political science. Using the method of text-oriented analytic interpretation, firstly, sixteen epistemic and non-epistemic characteristics of the first ruler are extracted; the most prominent of which are perfection of rational and imaginative faculties. In addition, the main responsibility of the first ruler, i.e. supplying the supreme happiness of the citizens, is explained through three minor duties: establishing the state, giving rise to the virtues and eliminating the vices, and resolving the problems of the state. Then, it is discussed that this theory is based on six foundations in al-Farabi's philosophical system, including human
Goal: Imposing the discretionary interest rate renders the interest rate market susceptible to variety of shocks. Monetary officials should be well aware of the durability and temporal impacts of these shocks on the macroeconomic variables. Using 120 macroeconomic variables of Iran economy within the period of 1984-2013, this study investigated whether there is a statistically significant relationship between the shadow reference interest rate (as a representative of the interest rate market) and prescribed interest rate? If so, what would be the consequence of the gap (difference) between these two rates in terms of the response of macroeconomic outlets...
Allameh Tabatabaie’s dominate view, at semantics of divine attributes including divine knowledge, is “basis of meaning” view. But this view, inattention to context of speech, causes appearance of difficulties at divine attributes; we are trying at this article to express defects of this view by explaining speech context and presenting it to “ basis of meaning” view and introduce the view that addresses itself to extension of this meaning in different contexts, attending to core of meaning (primitive meaning and ‘ verbal explanation’ meaning). This method is investigated in divine knowledge attribute to empty meaning of divine knowledge from simile.
This article seeks to consider" relativism" in Nietzsche's ethic which is one of the major challenges of moral education. Researchers are searching for relativistic in Nietzsche's thought, especially the theory of perspectivism, specify whether perspectivism based on the rejection of" the absolute" constant an universal principles٫ will lead to relativism in ethics or not، with critical study. The results of this study concluded that Nietzsche is not with to the traditional meaning and holds to the principles that are fixed acceptable in all perspectives." Superior man" training beyond good and evil, is the ultimate moral purpose of Nietzsche that with the will to power and rejection of the absolute values and creation of the new values i
One of the important issues concerning the motion in the substance of nature is the idea of intensity of the motion which has had different interpretation. The problem or challenge is how the invariable movement in categories of place and position–that currently is called invariable motion in space-can be consistent with the intensity of movement in substance. Different approaches for solving the problem has been proposed, however, none of them has given a final solution. The solution according to this article is that essentially the smooth movement in place and position is not a motion, but in relation to other things, the meaning of motion is truly attributed to it. This response, by proposing a new viewpoint to the meaning of change in
With the introduction of the distinction between existence and quiddity, one can find assertions which confirm one or the other or both of them-and also references to the distinction as a verbal disagreement-in the works of Muslim philosophers before Mirdamad. Since Mollasadra’s confirmation of principality of existence and his initiation of the issue of principality of existence, the issue of verbal disagreement can be seen in some of Lahiji’s works who was a disciple of Mirdamad. This has continued up to the present time. In the present article, we demonstrate that based on some of the interpretations of principality of existence which claim objectivity for existence and quiddity, the possibility of verbal disagreement is in essence n
Effect of terms of trade as a variable in balance of payments adjustment and long run growth, has been considered since a long time ago. Hence, main purpose of this article in analyzing behavior of economic growth and terms of trade effect on it in Iran's economy by using quarterly data in period 1990:2-2014:3. For this reason, a regression pattern is designed and then one time is analyzed by Markov Switching Model with Fixed Transition Probability and another time by Markov Switching Model with Time Varying Transition Probability. Generally the result of estimation represent that terms of trade changes has a positive but very low impact on Iran economic growth which can be ignored. So, the behavior of economic growth in Iran is not affecte
Because of his desire to eternity the problem of death is very important for human. Mulla Sadra transcendent philosophy founder, with the approval of previous philosopher’s definition of death, believes that death is the separation of the soul from the physical body and divides it to natural and sudden. This paper explains the nature of death and its variants and causes of death in view of Mulla Sadra and shows some of its Quranic roots. Also, we present criticisms about Mulla Sadra's division of death; some of which include lack of philosophical criterion for the existence of sudden death and there is no boundary between natural death and sudden death.
Providing an exact explication of rationality in a way that would lead to the explication of the scope of rational discourse is among the most fundamental problems of philosophers. In the current essay the author struggles to reach a comprehensive definition of rationality via an exact description and analysis of ideas of Mulla Sadra (1571-1641) as the most significant philosophical figure in the Islamic world according to which one can present all human achievements in the domain of knowledge and science as manifestations of this rationality. Rationality in Sadra’s intellectual system represents a comprehensive term with an analogically graded meaning that in different levels of certainty guarantees the validity of applied, theoretical a
The simplicity of the necessary-by-itself is one of the most important issues discussed by Islamic philosophers and theologians. It has also a prominent position in transcendental wisdom (Hikmat e Motaaliyeh). Allameh Tabatabai, as a transcendental philosopher, puts emphasis on the real simplicity of the divine nature and provides a lot of arguments for it. With the analysis of the foundations of his arguments, it is demonstrated that two different views are expressed on this issue: one is the simplicity of the necessary-by-itself and the arguments for its affirmation based on the positive attitude to quiddity; the other is the simplicity of the necessary-by-itself and the arguments for its affirmation based on the negative attitude to quid
