Afsaneh Sadooghiasl is an Assistant professor of nursing in TMU since 2017. She received her BSc, MSc, and PhD of Nursing from Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS). She received her certificate of Medical Education from TUMS, and Health Entrepreneurship TOT certificate from Sharif University of Technology, Iran. She completed Leadership for change (LFC) program hold by ICN and WHO in Iran (2012-2014). Her project was designing a Clinical Career Laddering for Iranian Nurses. Then she accepted for LFC TOT program and after receiving her certificate become an international LFC TOT (2014). She has teaching experience at undergraduate and post-graduate in nursing since 2010 at TUMS. She teaches nursing leadership and management, nursing ethics, advanced research methodology. She was director of international affairs development of school of nursing and midwifery, TUMS, Iran for 2 years. She was nursing supervisor at TUMS for 3 years. She has clinical experiences of hematology oncology nursing, neonatal and Neonatal Intensive Care nursing, emergency and obstetrics nursing.
BackgroundThe nursing education in Ghana has only witnessed minimal advancement though one of the earliest in Africa. This study aimed to explore nursing education in Ghana at the bachelor degree level in terms of the program's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats from the perspectives of nurses and midwives.MethodsA qualitative design based on the content analysis approach was used in this study. Introduction: Nursing is a caring profession and nurses need moral courage to provide safe and professional care to clients.Methods: This descriptive analytical study was conducted among nurses working in the educational hospitals in Tehran in 2016. A sample of 360 nurses was selected by quotas and convenience sampling. Data were collected by self-report method using demographic questionnaire and moral courage questionnaire of nurses.
